“SON” is a long-term photographic project portraying my autistic son.
For a long time, I struggled to accept this difference. Through photography, I found a way to stay close, without pressure and without the need for change.
“SON” is an attempt to approach a different, almost magical world and to meet it with attention, acceptance, and love, rather than fear.
The project moves between this way of being and the expectations placed upon it, exploring how difference is perceived and encountered.
