And you shine, though

The title of this project is from a poem by the Italian poet Pasolini: "They teach you not to shine. And you shine, though" ("Ti insegnano a non splendere. E tu splendi, invece"). This ongoing project aims to present the problematic path of women who try to unlearn and forget what society has chosen for them, to free themselves from that golden cage and find a different way. Mainly, I have been focusing my interest on women’s struggle to affirm themselves and "to shine, though". For this reason, I have worked with light, colours and sometimes a dreamy atmosphere. Because the search for light it’s not only a mere visual pleasure, but the essence of Beauty and the sparkle of life.
