Vaghinak Ghazaryan (b. 1974) is a documentary photographer based in Yerevan, Armenia.
His work focuses on social issues, the human condition in post-Soviet landscapes, and the profound exploration of post-war trauma.
After graduating from the Academy of TV and Radio (2004), Vaghinak furthered his education through specialized programs, including the Art Criticism and Curatorial Training School at AICA Armenia (2011) and the School of Modern Photography Docdocdoc, where he specialized in Documentary Photography and Post-documentary practices (2021-2022). He is also an alumnus of the Reuters News Agency photojournalism program (2008).
Vaghinak is a recipient of the Open Society Foundations' Documentary Photography Production grant (2013) and is currently a regular contributor to the 4plus.org Center for Documentary Photography and EVN Report. Since 2023, he has been serving as a Photography Workshop Leader at the TUMO Center for Creative Technologies.
