FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION

The human figure is one of the most enduring themes in visual arts. Taking appreciation of the human body and homage from art history with the recurring form of the female figure. 'Form Follows Function' deconstructs this standard perspective and reconstructs body shape / posture into ambiguous sculptural form. ................................................... The body was cast out in silicone. The form was then delicately finessed and then skilfully hand painted and punched with hair over the body. A real human hair wig was styled and implemented for the final finish of realism.
