Imprints

These composite landscapes are a re-creation of places from an estranged homeland. They include images that utilize fingerprints and palm patterns that evoke our personal connection with nature, and abstract landscapes where sheets of photographic paper with variable cutouts are layered together imitating landforms. The images induce the viewer to draw on their own experiences to complete the work and by utilizing fingerprint textures, they speak to our responsibility for our impressions upon nature.
