El Charro

"La Charreria" is Mexico's national sport and it was declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. It consists of performing nine different horse drills with a team of horse rider. Due to the massive phenomenon of Mexican migration across the USA, "La Charreria" is now also practiced throughout the whole country by immigrant families, who bond with their identity and community through the sport. In this image, a charro can be seen performing a lasso drill on top of his horse.
