Edinburgh the grey and the rain

After sadly leaving Edinburgh my home of nearly 15 years I can look back upon what I miss and what I don't miss so much. I never got used to the seemingly endless grey skies and summerless summers. Weather could really do your head in there. Thankfully via the vehicle of street photography rainy grim grey days became an opportunity to make something visually interesting and atmospheric. Weather can set the mood and feel of a place and the grey and rain was very much part of what made Edinburgh the place it is. No matter rain or shine the interesting streets and candid moments of Edinburgh forced me out the door to take pictures of people and moments till my feet bleed. I will forever miss you Edinburgh grey and all.
