Conundrum

Conundrum is a poetic reflection on human beings and our existence on earth. The human strives to be loved, find meaning in life and hide our failings. After all, we're all just humans, trying to do our best to create a meaningful life during the limited time that we have been given. In this vulnerable state there is something deeply universal. The images are photographed with different techniques such as Polaroid film, digital camera and analog film. The damaged emulsion from the polaroid film has been added to the images. It becomes a metaphor for the inevitable flaws of life and humans. The damaged emulsion also adds an element of randomness to the images that amplifies the things that we cannot affect in life. The photos are a tribute to human beings and our shortcomings and attempts to find meaning in life. The photo book Conundrum will be published in September 2024.
