This is a negative image of the moment when a flock of starlings takes flight from poplars near the lake of Banyoles. Every day, at sunset, a group would gather in this place for a short period of time until they decided to take flight again to the place where they would spend the night. Every day, the same routine at the same time and in the same place, moving in complete synchrony, as if they were a single organism. Gregarious behaviour as a system of self-protection against external threats.
My intention was to capture the beauty and poetry contained in that moment.
