Noh-Gaku only concentrates on physical and facial movements. Elimination of lines leaves only dynamism of play. Traditional Japanese Paintings do not portray every detail but they represent visions in depth. These works are an attempt to study such simplicity that displays various emotions and inner expressions from within.
For this series of works, I carefully chose my photo equipment as musicians would do with instruments which would suit image of music they play. After some trials and errors I came across the simplest form of camera, a wooden large format camera, and about 70 year old lens which produces a soft image with a unique result. Together with these, Polaroid films help to fix contrast and blurredness of mind.
Not only did these instruments help to visualize emotions deep inside myself and plants, but also they suggested me a lot of possibilities.
