This body of work is an artistic impression of Bardo; The transitional states of the soul's journey between life, death and rebirth.
It started as an inquiry into what spirituality is and its fascination with immortality. One of the discoveries was the processes of what it actually means to die, according to the Tibetan traditions. The Tibetans have mastered, if not centred their spirituality around the concept of Bardo, that everyone in the universe is a constant flow state of rebirthing, of becoming and not becoming. The process is invisible to the five senes, but can be experienced via the minds eye by self-realised spiritual masters.
It ended with being a freeing inquiry that detached the idea of death being the final destination, that at least there is some sort of continuity in the grander scheme of things.
It also opened up for a new inquiry, our legacy of what kind of soul/mind/consciousness (karma) we pass on to be unfolded. How pure a soul (karma) does the individual pass on to the rebirthed soul, similar to how much pollution and waste do we leave behind for the next generations to deal with....
