About Lukasz Spychala

Born in 1995 in Wroclaw, Lukasz Spychala "Koneser" is an analog photographer working in medium format film. With a master's degree in computer science, he is an image creator by choice, consistently associated with traditional analog photography. In 2024, he became a full member of the Association of Polish Art Photographers (membership card no. 1375).
He works with a Japanese medium format Mamiya RB67 Pro-S camera, using black and white, color, and slide film. His main interests are female portraits and nude photography, which he treats as a space for building a subtle narrative about physicality, presence, and the tension between intimacy and the performative nature of the image. His work also includes projects that blur the boundaries between fine art, narrative, and conceptual photography, as well as photography inspired by the language of cinema.
His works have been presented in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Poland and abroad, including in France, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Iran, Italy, Norway, Slovenia, and the United States.
Lukasz's photographs have been published in international magazines and photography publications, including All About Photo, Boudoir Inspiration, Float Photo Magazine, Medium Format Magazine, and Photographize. He has been interviewed by Lomography Magazine, Situatifé Magazine, and The Phoblographer. He has designed album covers for bands such as AWBU, Happy Cat Jay, and Slug Boys, and is a partner of brands such as Prism Lens FX and Retouch4me.
His most important achievements include the title of "Professional Analog/Film Photographer of the Year" in the International Photography Awards 2022 competition. In 2024, he received the titles of "Nude Photographer of the Year 2023" in the Monochrome Photography Awards 2023, "Amateur Fine Art Photographer of the Year" in the 10th Fine Art Photography Awards, and "Technique Photographer of the Year" in the Analog Sparks International Film Photography Awards 2024.
