About Kantaya New

Kantaya New is a Thai–Singaporean photo artist based in Singapore, working across street and conceptual photography.

Her street photographs find meaning in the unexpected — odd moments, visual coincidences, and chance encounters that reveal something about everyday life. Alongside this, she is developing a emotional body of street work that reflects on belonging and invisibility in public space.

Her conceptual practice builds staged scenes that explore emotional detachment, identity, and the space between imaginary and everyday life.

Having lived in Bangkok, Tokyo, and Singapore, she brings a perspective shaped by all three cities. Her photographs have been exhibited across Asia, Europe, and North America.
