About Caitlin Sas

Today's world seems to strive for perfection if it is one of the most important things. Millions of people take 'selfies' every day in the hope that other people show their appreciation in the form of 'likes', 'hearts' or 'comments'. With my photography I want to draw positive attention to a particular, often negatively perceived disease or unwanted condition. I also want society to take A DIFFERENT LOOK so people see that beauty often lies in the 'imperfection'.

My name is Caitlin Sas, and I was born in Dreumel, The Netherlands in 1989. I've studied photography at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague (2009-2014). I invest a lot of time in my own projects. My speciality is making aesthetic portraits in which the natural beauty plays the lead role. My fascination goes out to the beauty of the 'imperfection'. So I've made the book ANDERS KIJKEN (A DIFFERENT LOOK), in which I show the beauty of Albinism.
