I have been seriously pursuing the art and craft of photography for over 20 years. My first experience was in a traditional darkroom and I have ever since had a love of the print. In fact, after a long career in technology, in 1998 I started a fine art digital printing studio and have spent the years since focused on making large fine art prints for artists.
In recent years in my own work I have deeply explored handmade prints using 19th century processes - platinum/palladium, cyanotype, carbon, gum, etc.
I have also spent time making handmade books and boxes with letterpress work to allow me to package my work in new ways. I like holding physical art objects and regret the recent dematerialization of photography.
