This series uses the adornments of African tribes from Kenya and Tanzania to talk about globalization. Previously made of natural seeds and fibers, now made of plastic beads and nylon. Nevertheless, the social codes present in them remain intact; Some represent marriage, other puberty, leadership and many other meanings. At a first glance what is seen in these photographs is a lofty people with an almost mystical aura, for here I represent them as kings and queens, gods and demigods, who at the same time resist and absorb modernities intelligently. Otherwise, they could have their culture crumbled. For me this is the proof that one can amalgamate aspects of the globalized world without, however, lose our essence. I have used the strong contrast in black and white and the Sub light exposure so as not to reveal features of the face and other details that would be unfounded for this narrative. Thereby intensifying the dream atmosphere, inviting the spectator to dive more intensely, letting the imagination complete the experience.
