Hong Kong Trilogy

Even after 20 years of living in Hong Kong, Michael Wolf is not tired of Hong Kong's rich vernacular culture. In his new book "Hong Kong Trilogy" he thanks the workers who build their elaborate installations with mops, gloves, carts and chairs in alleys and side streets. Ingenuity, talent for improvisation, lack of space, necessity and chance shape these temporary installations — chaotic, individual and above all useful. The magical winds and mighty typhoons also leave visible traces when they blow pieces of laundry onto power lines, billboards and windowsills.
