Meantimers

In "Meantimers", an ongoing series, I look at the theme of long-term unemployment and how it affects a person's life on a socio-psychological level. I create images with a group of diverse, unemployed New Yorkers, victims of the recession. Through portraiture, role-play and reenactment of personal experiences I turn my subjects into active protagonists in a narrative that explores the challenging conditions of the unemployed today, hoping for new insights into each of their individual journeys.
