Sparks

Photographic series "Sparks” is the attempt to show people who are facing the war and are entangled in war machine. For one year I had been meeting young soldiers which are fighting in Ukraine. Most of them didn’t have any professional or psychological preparation to what awaits them. They left their previous occupations and become soldiers voluntary. I was talking with them, making portraits, recording their words, working on their archives - pictures and videos which took by their mobile phones, making collages, videos, visiting them on the front line. Some of them I followed for almost one year. I wanted to know their motivation, their doubts and the current situation in their lives. Now they try to find their place in sociality. They often tell about numbers of friends who died during the fights and they are angry that these deaths were pointless.
