This is a personal project exploring London’s lesser-known rivers and canals.
I’m photographing the landscape, the people living on the water, those using the towpaths and the traces of their activity.
Far removed from the surrounding streets, these undisturbed places have many species of plants and wildlife and are some of our oldest established habitats.
These watery routes mark a physical boundary in the landscape but also a territorial dividing line in a city environment.
Interacting with people as I walked gave me a completely different view from a human perspective.
